chocolate zucchini muffins

I have a baked goods tooth. My daughter does too. We made Zucchini chocolate chip muffins this afternoon. Margot ate three muffins as soon as they were vaguely cool enough. "Hot, hot hot" she said while scarfing them down. They are sooo good. I have eaten enough to gain all the weight back I just lost after Christmas! p.s. Why is so food to photogenic? I could take foodie photos all day long. It's almost as beautiful as my children.

hugs

Rudy loves giving Margot hugs, although he often grabs her face (see below), or hugs her so tight around her throat she can't breath! Margot is putting two words together and they are very different than the words Rudy was putting together at this age like "Rudy up", "Rudy more". Margot's are "Margot turn", "Margot mine"!

catch up for Christmas

I need to post about Christmas but I don't have many good photos, and more than that I have been a bit lost for words to explain the wonderful time we had. How crazy that 17 people could live in harmony for 2 weeks in one house! What? Yes. we really did. What I'm going to do for the sake of this being my only record of these sleepless years, is link to Becca and Sam's lovely blog posts about the weeks with Mum and Dad in St. Louis. Look here, here, here, here, hereand here! Plus they have that fab iPhone app that makes all the photos extra-special! Here are a few of ours too.

blizzard!

It's been the fifth largest snowfall in Chicago history! So much fun and so much shoveling!
