I need to post something really happy following the last post. So here are some of the best from the past month or so, seeing as we haven't posted in a while. Both of the kids have grown so much recently. Rudy's trousers are all becoming capri's and Margot doesn't fall over in her shoes as they actually fit her!

'Helping' Mummy make Rudy's birthday cupcakes

In response to Becca and Sam's hilarious post here, I had to include this one
She stuck them all over the floor, her legs and her...eyelids???
Rudy went on a field trip with his pre-school class to the aquarium. I was one of the chaperones. These fun boys were in my charge. With Rudy are Bilal (on the left) and Nour.
They are standing on a plexiglass floor with manta rays swimming below them.
SHARKS!
A warm spring day a few weeks ago (did I mention it snowed 2 inches last night)?
I thought it would be fun to play, climb, run around, swing and slide at the park. R+M had other ideas.

Goodbye cat Friday

1996-2011
just last week playing quietly and gently with Margot

Rudy said "Mummy, I know, let's get a cat that looks just like Friday and call her Friday". We're all sad to see her go.

Rudy's birthday was a month ago...oops

Here are some shots from Rudy's very special 4th birthday including his party where all the kids made alien crowns and decorated alien cupcakes.
Early a.m. pressies

a beautiful hand-crocheted alien from Auntie Anne. Rudy christened him "Foo-chi" immediately.

The party started with all the girls quietly crafting while Rudy ran around growling and screaming with glee, getting his over-whelmed-with-the-crowd feelings out. He was so excited about his party and loooooved having everyone here.
Margot sporting her alien crown. There was glitter glue, colorful tissue paper and googly eyes--the last of which were a huge hit.
Out comes the candy for cupcake decorating...the kids could not believe their eyes!
Per special request from the birthday boy: green alien cupcakes!
Happy Birthday Rudy. We love you so much!
For me???
Sweet Annika, one of Rudy's best friends. Her Mummy and I are always mistaken for each other!
How much candy can a 4 year old boy eat? I love the look of awe on everyone's face. On the right is Annika's sister Ursula and next to her is their Dad, Nate.
blue bliss...
I can keep going?!
