Margot's birthday continued...

We had a small impromptu gathering in the back yard at 5:30pm. Friends of Margot's included Frankie (Francine) below

and Ursula. Frankie and Ursula's big sisters are Rudy's very good friends. We love our n'hood!!

And here is proof that we do have grass now. We LOVE it. However, we are still waiting for the

patio pavers to be put in (see below for temporary cardboard measures to stop a mud bath) tomorrow. Can't wait!

sweet 2 year old!

I haven't done very well with my post a pic a day, but as someone said to me recently - It's better to do something imperfectly than nothing perfectly - So I am picking up again on a very special day. Margot's second birthday! Happy Birthday sweet girl. Things that Margot says right now: "I love lou" for I love you. "Hold it" when she wants to be picked up. She's saying 4 and 5 word sentences now too, but sometimes in such a rush of energy or excitement that all the words are in the wrong order! For instance "Rudy table Margot drink on" for "Rudy and Margot put drinks on the table".

Rudy insisted on getting her a Curious George Jack in the box. She absolutely looooves it!

We got her a sand and water table (with umbrella)! We've been doing a lot of work in our back garden (grass at last) but it's still not quite finished so they were relegated to a corner by the garage!

She got her hands on a jar of green food coloring and thought it was the funniest thing that she had a green tongue! Click on the image for detail. It's a keeper.

I have been having a really hard time getting any posts up here. I am setting myself a goal to make one post a day of one photo. It can be more, but having the goal of one photo relieves the pressure! Anyone want to join me in this? The best part is, if you don't succeed, it doesn't matter!
