Rudy was very pleased to receive some animal finger puppets from Auntie Triona. The polar bear is featured in this video. I only caught the tail end of the do-do-do's, which went on for quite a while, but you'll get the idea.

snow balls
It's been down to freezing temperatures here for a while now. We're feeling pretty shut-in, especially now that we've had some bugs, flu and pink eye that have kept us at home. After a heavy snow fall John and Rudy went out to shovel the front steps and sidewalk. They also had fun making snowballs -a few of which came my way, although I was behind a glass door!
Staying warm, cosy and practical at all times. Rudy has on dino pj's, blue wellies (mine -thanks Mum for saving them!), and a giraffe back-pack (a "becoming a big brother" gift from the mid-wives).
5 months along now. A June baby girl on her way! Eliza, we're so happy you are coming to see her this summer.

Chilton Christmas
We've just arrived home from 2 weeks in England with my family. Here are a few photos by way of introduction and we'll post more as we have time. This photo is of Becca, Sam and Zach in front of Chilton Manor where we spent Christmas as a family. As you can imagine we all fit! A big thank you goes to Anna's family who graciously let us use the house which was Anna's grandfather's. The field tha Becca and Sam are standing in was full of sheep.
We took Rudy to the Watercress Line where steam trains are still running. It was a very very cold day, but the trip was a hit all the same. The train on the right was at the station as we arrived and we were able to see and hear it (very loud) leaving. There wasn't another train coming for another 2 hours so it was perfect timing!
Siblings: Matt, Triona, Johanna and Becca. Not something that happens often enough.
Cousins: Rudy, Joseph, Eliza, Zach and Oliver. Rudy talks about his cousins every day. It was so wonderful for them to get to know each other.
