Winter Clan visit

We are still recovering from a glorious week with Matt, Anna, Joseph, Elisa and Oliver. I realize now that we unfortunately didn't take many photos. I think with fewer and fewer hands available photos go by the wayside right now. These are the best we have. The first night soon after everyone arrived (having driven from Maine to Chicago!) and before Mum and Dad drove home to St. Louis.

Eliza has 6 boy cousins and Margot is her first cousin to be a girl so there was some serious bonding! Eliza thought it was pretty cool that she and Margot were both two weeks early and weighed 7 lbs 10 oz. I think it's pretty cool too.

We went to Millennium Park one day and found a "family" tent with building blocks, music and other activities. The Winter clan each built a complex sculpture. Here's Joe's:

Uncle Matt and Margot on our front steps

Oliver (5 yrs old) and Rudy in the tub. Rudy wanted to be where ever Vi Vi was the entire time. As soon as he woke up in the morning he'd say "I want to see my cousins. Where's Oliver"?

Anna is describing the whale they saw while sailing off the coast of Maine this summer. It was surfacing very close to the boat and suddenly dove down again after catching sight of them.

We are missing everyone terribly and loved sharing our corner of the world with you. Thank you for making the long long journey to Chicagoland.
