2 weeks to go

This was taken two weeks ago, so you can imagine how the belly has grown since then! We are getting so anxious to meet this little boy, while also trying to enjoy these last days on our own. John's birthday is on March 1st and we are both hoping the little one decides to skip that day. We are feeling rather cooped up as it continues to snow and snow here. Hopefully we won't be fighting a blizzard on the way to the birthing center!

Big Snow

So as of Friday we're officially 'full-term'. This lasts from 37 to 42 weeks, after which we would become post-term. I'm hoping and praying like mad that this little boy will decide he wants to see the world a little sooner than the 42nd week! Any time from now on would be great. Who will win the tie-breaker on this?
It has been snowing for the past few days here with a few breaks when the sun comes out and the sky is blue. It makes me want to go skiing. Maybe that would get things going!

This photo shows my almost constant state of being bundled beyond recognition. However, at this point the bump is harder to hide.

Shower of gifts

This weekend some friends threw us an amazing baby shower. We've included a lot of photos to tell the story. The first few are of the construction that has been happening at our house - John assembling a wooden high chair and then Dad, Mum, John and myself all attempting to put together the little man's crib. You can really catch a glimpse of how big the bump is now in the first photo on the left. As you can see I dressed like an Easter egg for the shower - I'm starting to be the appropriate shape too! Thank you to Danielle, Matt (and their gorgeous daughter MaeBelle, in photo 12) for a wonderful afternoon. We felt very loved.
