We are now visiting the Midwives every other week. In February we start seeing them every week. Some of you might be interested to know what happens each time we visit:
- Blood pressure and weight taken.
- The MW measures the height of my uterus using a cold paper measuring tape from the bottom to top of my belly (this week my uterus was at 33cm. This usually coincides with how many weeks along you are).
- The MW uses a doppler so we can all listen to little man's heart rate. This never ceases to be amazing! It varies from 130 -160 beats a minute.
- We ask the MW a million questions.
- This week was pretty great because I told the MW that I had been feeling a lot of pressure on my pelvis and that the baby's kicks are no longer in my side, but higher up towards my ribs. She felt my stomach and said "here's his head, here's his butt, and here are his feet. Yes, he's in position and he'll probably stay here until he's born." So we were happy to hear he was the right way up, or down, however you like to think of it. Only 7 more weeks to go! Can't wait...
