Carmel is a summer tourist town (much like Camden, Maine) and there is a reason for that - It is so beautiful. For my birthday friends at work took me on the 17 Mile Drive Road (it is exactly what it sounds like) on which I took the photos here. The wildness and combination of beach, rocks, and trees reminded me a lot of Maine. The last photo is the beach that was a 5 minute walk from where I was working every day. I only managed to go there twice in 10 days!

wow it looks beautiful.. stunning. and yea your photos remind me of (and make me miss) maine. i hope we can all gather there before too long... lil' harpo in tow :)
